Professor Rodriguez joined the department of Modern and Classical languages at Niagara University in 2010. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in primary education and infant pedagogical studies at the University of Antonio Nariño in Colombia. She graduated from the Fundación Universitaria Los Libertatadores in Colombia and received her Master’s degree in leadership and recreation emphasizing in cultural and social development. Her thesis research received Summa Cum Laude honors due to its high investigative and educative value. She began her career as a professor in investigation and pedagogical studies in private and public educational institutions in Cali, Colombia. While at these institutions, she led investigative projects and practiced pedagogy. In this manner she extended her projects to include homeless children and developed a program called escolarización (schooling) which permitted them access to education regardless of their current vulnerable situation.
