Lecturer, Introduction to Theatre
Katie earned her MFA in Dramaturgy from the Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University after graduating from Niagara University with a BFA in Theatre and a BA in English. She has recently worked with the Jewish Repertory Theatre and Shakespeare in Delaware Park as Assistant Stage Manager, and currently is the ASM for Irish Classical Theatre. Katie has served as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University, taught theatre at a residential treatment facility for girls, and directed interns as an instructor for Shakespeare in Delaware Park’s Shakespearience Program. As a dramaturg she was part of the world premiere of Christine Evans’ Trojan Barbie at the American Repertory Theatre, as well as on several productions with the IATT. Her adaptation of Bulgakov’s Zoya’s Apartment was performed in Cambridge, Massachusetts as well as in Moscow. This past summer Katie adapted Leonid Andreyev’s He Who Gets Slapped for the Buffalo Infringement Festival.
