Bio

Jason graduated from Brandeis University cum laude with High Honors in Music. He was also awarded the Richter Composition Prize for his musical Platterplatinum! Jason has worked as a vocal director for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines in Hollywood, Florida, and as an accompanist, coach and assistant music director at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.  In the Western New York area, he has been music director for shows at Artpark, MusicalFare Theatre and the Irish Classical Theatre Company, as well as a vocal coach for Theatre of Youth.   In addition to playing keyboards in productions at Artpark, the Kavinoky Theatre, and MusicalFare, Jason has also appeared on each of those stages as an actor/singer/dancer. He has performed with theater companies throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut, and played the title role in Neglia Ballet Artists’ production of Don Quixote.  Jason was music director for NU Theatre’s 2009 production of tick, tick...BOOM!, and for last season's Damn Yankees. He has been a coach/accompanist for the University of Buffalo’s Theatre Department, as well as assistant music director for numerous departmental productions. In liturgical music, Jason has been a cantor for churches in Yonkers and Tuckahoe, and is currently contemporary music director at First Presbyterian Church in Buffalo. Jason played keyboard and sang backup vocals for the national tour of Jersey Boys in Buffalo, Cleveland, and Rochester. Also a pop/rock songwriter, Jason was the opening act for Pure Prairie League at the Artpark Outdoor Amphitheater, and he has released his first CD, Between Head and Heart.”
