Adjunct Professor, Physical Theatre
Terry has worked in theatre in Canada since completing his apprenticeship at the Stratford Festival in 1967 and 1968. He took the eight month training course at the Canadian Mime School in 1974-1975, and was one of the founding members of the Gryphon Theatre in Barrie in 1970. During his career, he has performed with many companies in Canada including: The National Arts Centre, The Stratford Festival, Shaw Festival, The Manitoba Theatre Centre, Neptune Theatre and more recently, Odyssey Theatre and Carousel Theatre. Terry is a founding member of Theatre Beyond Words and has worked with that company as an actor, writer and a director since its inception in 1977. In 2012, Terry was part of a TBW workshop on the adaptation of Neil Gaiman's graphic novel The Tragical Comedy of Mr. Punch. Production rights have been secured and an initial production is planned for the Fall of 2015.Terry is an instructor in physical and visual theatre at Brock University and also at Niagara University, where he was co-director for a production of TBW's The Boy Who Could Sing Pictures in 2011.
