The Student Accounts Office will place a restriction on student records that will not allow them to pre-register for future semesters.

The Student Accounts Office is responsible for two registration restrictions:

Outstanding balance (RG):

If a student has a balance remaining from the current semester and is not on a payment plan with all payment current, we will put a hold on registering for future semesters until the balance is satisfied.

Perkins Entrance interview (LO):

We also place a restriction on students that have been awarded a Federal Perkins Loan and have not completed the master promissory note and entrance interview for that year. This process is completed electronically on www.signmyloan.com. 

We will send out notifications of these restrictions prior to the pre-registration period in the form of an e-mail to students and letters with the tuition statements. The student can check their MyNU account on the "Registration/ Advisement" tab to see the current status of their registration restriction.
