Bio
Dr. Jain brings a diverse international background to the Accounting Department, including teaching in India and practical accounting work in Canada and the U.S. He received his Ph.D. in Accounting from Patna University, India. Prior to that he received his M.A. in Economics from Lakehead University in Canada in 1975.
Dr. Jain has taken a leadership role in the establishment of the Center for International Accounting Education and Research at Niagara University. The mission encourages relevance and an emphasis on the global marketplace. The CIAER is charged with internationalizing faculty, students, and curricula, as well as promoting regional competitiveness in the global community.
Dr. Jain is a member of the American Association of Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants. He has been president of the Federation of Jain Associates in North America (JAINA), a humanitarian organization recognized by the U.S. Agency for International Development.
