Through its many programs and services, through its use of professional and peer staff, the Office of Academic Support is committed to continuing Niagara University’s long tradition of helping students develop the skills and tools they need to be successful at Niagara
Our Mission
To contribute to students' academic achievement and fosters their independence as learners through teaching, testing, tutoring, and academic mentoring.
The Principles that Guide our Work
We recognize that learning is a developmental process and that academic support must be appropriate, given individual students' strengths and needs. It is essential that our work with students and faculty support the university's academic standards and mission and that supporting students' development as competent, responsible, reflective, and self-confident learners is vital to their success not only at the university, but also in their future careers and in their lives as citizens. Ongoing assessment and evaluation must inform our work with students.
The Outcomes Students Can Achieve with help from OAS
Students can develop competencies vital to their academic success, demonstrate responsible academic behaviors, reflect upon their goals and achievements in ways that will support their academic success, and develop greater independence as learners.
