Undergraduate Admissions

Meet members of the academic faculty from Noon to 3:30 as representatives from all NU departments will make themselves available to answer your questions in the Main Gallery of the Castellani Art Museum.  This is a great way to get more focused questions answered regarding particular majors, programs and academic opportunities at NU.  The Academic Exploration Program and the University Honors Program will also be available to talk about their unique offerings.

There is more to Niagara than just our great Academics!  Join us in the Lower Level of the Gallagher Center where faculty, staff and student representatives will be available to answer your questions in a variety of differing areas.  Academic support and disability services, student government and clubs, athletics, food service, residence life, financial aid, study abroad, veterans affairs and more are just a sampling of the resources available.

Niagara University offers individualized advisement tracks for students interested in pre-med, pre-dental, pre-vet, and pre-pharmacy. Dr. Cliff will discuss these programs and their delivery, their successes and their requirements. In addition, unique 3+2 programs, and early admittance programs to same local college medical and dental programs will be discussed as well.

The Academic Exploration Program (AEP) is a nationally recognized and award-winning program at Niagara University where first and second year students have an opportunity to discover academic majors and career options. In this program you’ll have personalized advisement and are guided to try courses in different majors that can fulfill graduation requirements. Come learn more about NU’s largest academic program with an average of 20% of the freshman class each year!

This session will discuss the eligibility requirements for admittance into the University Honors Program.  It will then discuss the requirements for completion of the University Honors Program along with the benefits of graduating with University Honors.  In addition, we will discuss the unique offerings of NU's Eagle Leadership Program

This session, presented by the Dean of the College of Education, will provide an overview of the programs, requirements and innovative elements of the teacher education programs offered in the College of Education.   The session will highlight areas of certification, minors and study abroad programs in education, comprehensive field experiences (from the first semester), faculty involvement, accreditation and national prestige, and success of graduates.   Highlights of programs will focus on early childhood and childhood education, special education, middle level and secondary education, and teaching English to speakers of other languages; as well as cutting-edge facilities, teaching studio resources, and instructional technology.

In a unique and evolving art form, theatre artists, whether center stage or behind the scenes, face many arduous demands required to create inspiring theatre. The training offered here has prepared Niagara University graduates to successfully pursue careers from Broadway to Hollywood, regional theatre to international tours, and television to film. All programs offered by the Department of Theatre Studies culminate in a bachelor of fine arts degree (B.F.A.). Come join our session to learn more about our unique training programs, season productions, and more. Be on the watch for any pirating sword fighters on campus throughout the day!

The Kiernan Recreation Center is Niagara University's all-in-one recreation complex. The Kiernan Center offers more than 50 intramural, recreational & health/wellness programs for the Niagara University community. In addition, the Kiernan Center is the home to the Club Sports Program at Niagara University.  Club Sports are a recreational program for university students designed to offer an alternative to intramural sports and intercollegiate athletics.

Niagara University’s Office of Academic Support (OAS) is the place where learners meet.  At OAS, we provide a wide range of programs and services to support student academic success.  This presentation will review the many services OAS provides, including tutoring, our Writing Center, and support for students with disabilities.

This session will focus on the sources and types of financial aid, the federal financial aid application process, and a financial aid timeline to follow so you don’t miss important dates.

This session will explain the process of transferring into Niagara University. We will also discuss credit placement, articulation agreements, dual admission programs and transfer scholarships. If you are planning to attend a community college or another school prior to entering NU, this is the breakout session for you.

Applying to college can be a confusing process, but it doesn't have to be.  This session will focus specifically on how to apply to Niagara University.  We will discuss various types of applications from the Common Application to the standard pen and paper versions.  The admissions time-table, requirements, events, and what to expect along the way will all be discussed as well.  Time will be made available for questions and answers.
